To cancel auto-renewal of your TED Membership,
visit the Membership Dashboard (login required).
(If you encounter a message asking you to join TED Membership, you may be logged in to the wrong TED.com account, or your subscription was never linked to a TED.com account, or your donation was accepted through a different platform**. Please double-check your login, or reach out to our Member Support team at members@ted.com.)
Follow these steps:
1. click Settings in the menu on the left of the Membership Dashboard
2. click Cancel plan at the bottom of the Settings (see image below)
3. A window will open asking you to choose a reason you're leaving Membership (it helps us improve the benefits!)
4. Confirm cancellation
** Some Members who started their recurring donation in summer 2024 did so as part of a test of a third-party fundraising platform. If you cannot access the Membership Dashboard, please return to the original receipt of your transaction, if you still have it. If you see a link at the bottom of your Membership welcome email that says "Manage my donation," click that button. Or, go directly to https://giving.ted.com and enter the email you used to make the donation to access the subscription management tools.
