All TEDx event names follow the same convention: a name beginning with TEDx, followed by a location such as a city, school or neighborhood. Prior to applying, you need to check to see if the name you want is available. Some names -- such as major cities -- are reserved to distribute at the discretion of TEDx staff. Events at universities may be named TEDx[University Name]. In the case of corporate events (which are held internally, not open or promoted to the public) we may co-brand. You can find more information about this on our website. Currently, we do not license names for large regions or countries since naming is based on local communities. We also do not grant names based on themes or topics (e.g. "TEDxMarketing"). Please visit our naming guidelines for more specific information on naming your event.
