TEDx events are independently organized, therefore each team has its own way of selecting speakers. Information about upcoming TEDx events can be found here. Most TEDx events have their own websites, Facebook pages, or other social media accounts that will share details about how to apply as a speaker, if they accept pitches.
TEDx events plan their speaker lineups many months in advance and not all events accept speaker submissions. We recommend looking into how to get in touch with an event early on.
We encourage TEDx teams to seek out ideas from local community through collaborations with universities, brain trusts, nonprofit organizations, and journalists, rather than accept speaker pitches. The most impactful talks are found based on the hidden work being done in a local community.
Many still consider applications, and if a local team is open to this they will provide an online form. If they do not provide a form, please respect their time and do not approach team members via other means.
