The TEDx rules and organizer guide provides detailed compliance guidelines. In general, you should keep these compliance rules in mind:
- Your opening reel name and stage logo must match your official license name
- Sponsors must be displayed on one static slide that adheres to the prescribed template linked in the TEDx rules page
- No animation, no multiple slides, no rolling credits are allowed in a video
- No logos are allowed on stage - only the TEDx logo should be present
- TEDx videos may never use the T[a][b]ED logo, music (any iteration), or visuals
- No speaker introductions are allowed in a video
- No superimposed text, or any other labels, in your videos—this means no burnt in subtitles and no watermarks
- You cannot use copyrighted images/music/media in a video without getting permission from the copyright holder first
- Talks should not be longer than 18 minutes
- No selling from the stage
- No political agendas
- No religious proselytizing
- Only fact-checked science
