Do you know someone you think would make a great TED speaker? Do you have your own world-changing idea you think needs to be shared? We welcome you to submit a speaker nomination!

To nominate someone to speak at an official TED conference or event (TED2020, TEDWomen, TED Salon, etc.), simply fill out the speaker nomination form. You're welcome to mention the specific conference you're interested in, but keep in mind that our curators will select speakers at their discretion based on the ideal fit in a conference theme.

Nominations are accepted on a rolling basis -- there is no deadline. Once submitted, all nominations will stay in our speaker database for consideration as we plan future TED conferences.

 Please note that our curators receive tens of thousands of nominations each year, so they're unable to respond individually with feedback or the status of any nomination. Speakers who are selected will be notified directly, usually several months before a conference.

Speaking at a TEDx event

Interested in nominating someone to speak at a local TEDx event? It may help to clarify that TEDx events are entirely separate from TED, and from one another, so there is no centralized nominating mechanism. To nominate a speaker for a local event, you'll need to contact the local independent organizing team. Here's how:

1. Find an event near you on our TEDx event map
   
2. Open the page of a suitable event to find contact or submission information
3.  If the organizers have not provided enough information on their TED.com event page, try searching the name of the event on the web. The best information about events is usually found on their own websites or social media accounts.
   
4. Not all TEDx events accept speaker submissions, for a variety of reasons.
5. TEDx events, like TED conferences, are multi-disciplinary, featuring talks about a wide variety of subjects. TEDx curators typically do not seek speakers about any particular subject, so we encourage you to simply submit a nomination to whichever TEDx community your idea could potentially impact positively.
